We have gone through the usual website (Cheaptickets, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc) but we haven’t found anything remotely cheap. We are travelling from MArch 17, 18 or 19 to April 1 or 2.

The airfares depend on when you want to travel and to/from different cities. Looking at your dates I found a price from $848 LA or SF to Sydney. This was for the dates in April you mentioned.

That is the cheapest price I have found in months and I’m on top of these prices all the time looking for a deal.
You gotta fly on Qantas- they fly non-stop and have tv screens in every seat. Nothing beats not having to watch a general G rated, edited movie with the rest of the airplane.
